Can I decorate my hotel room door?Updated 10 months ago
Door decorating is traditionally not permitted at the Gaylord Palms, but they're making an exception for all of our wonderful teachers and administrators! Please follow these instructions carefully to remain in compliance with hotel policies:
- No personally identifiable information is permitted on the doors. This includes, but is not limited to, names, school names, photos of yourself or other attendees, presenters, etc. This is for you and everyone's safety.
- Nothing is permitted in windows, on balconies, attached to fire sprinklers, or attached to the ceiling.
- While you may decorate the door, the entire door cannot be covered. For example, please do not wrap the entire door like a present.
- Most importantly, everything should be easily removed without causing any damage to the door. If the door is damaged, the registered guest will be charged a minimum of $600.00 by the Gaylord Texan to replace the door. GYTO is not liable for any door damages, repairs, or fees.
- If your door is found in violation of hotel policies, the items will be removed by hotel security. We know you work very hard, and we don't want that!
These rules are applicable to guests at the Gaylord Palms only. If you're staying offsite, please check with your hotel's front desk for their individual policy prior to decorating your door. Door decorating is not permitted under any circumstance at the World Center Marriott.
